How and where to spend the New Year in Russia?
Russia is not only Moscow. There are plenty of cities where you can spend the New Year’s eve as it should be! In this article you’ll find cities where you could fly to and enjoy the holiday season.
Saint-Petersburg:
You won’t be disappointed if you decide to celebrate the New Year in Saint Petersburg. It is one of the most popular destinations for the New Year. Although the weather in winter is not the best one, the atmosphere in local bars is always warm ! You can walk from one pub to another until the morning, and the next walk in the city center, which is beautiful at any time of the year.
Kazan :
For New Year you can arrange a culinary trip and taste dishes of Tatar cuisine – wa can guaranter that it will be tasty. Besides chuck-chuck and belyashes, there is a lot of interesting things in Kazan: have a look at the local kremlin and mosques or walk along the pedestrian street Bauman.
Ekaterinburg:
In Ekaterinburg you can go to Yeltsin Center, walk along the pedestrian street Weiner and go to one or several local institutions (it will be tasty and inexpensive). The welcome is really warm there !
Kaliningrad:
In the westernest city of Russia you’ll like the winter there, roofs of Catholic cathedrals covered by snow and German houses in the area of old villas. You can also visit the neighboring towns of Zelenogradsk and Svetlogorsk with quiet streets and desert embankments.
