Pointed bras and men’s skirts, costumes for Madonna and Milena Farmer, films by Pedro Almodovar and Peter Greenaway, broken stereotypes and the destruction of borders – all this combines a cult name – Jean-Paul Gaultier. Bizarre, scandalous, provocative, witty, terrible L’Enfant of high fashion comes to Russia and brings his Fashion Freak Show with him. An amazing mixture of dance revues and fashion shows, with all kinds of music from disco to punk, with the participation of actors, dancers, circus artists – the production is a kind of confession of Jean-Paul Gaultier. Especially for this event, the couturier has created hundreds of costumes.
The Fashion Freak Show creators team regroups the best of the best. For example, director and co-director Tony Marshall, Madonna choreographer Marion Motin, composer and music producer Neil Rogers, multiple Grammy Award winner. And of course, Jean-Paul Gaultier himself – the author of the idea, the screenwriter, director, artist, costume designer and at the same time the main character.
