Better to be prepared !

For those who have been in Moscow for the last new year and even the ones before, you can confirm that around December 31 and January 1, it is better to be prepared to circulate in the Moscow city center due to the closing of many streets, including Tverskaya street. This year, Tverskaya street will be closed for 10 days, starting from 2 am on December 28 to 10 pm on January 6 as reported on the website of the mayor and the government of the capital.

Tverskaya is not the only street that will be closed due to the festival. During the festival, for Muscovites and guests of the capital, concerts, performances and master classes will be held.

Thus during the period mentioned before, the sections of Tverskaya Street (from Tverskaya Boulevard to Mokhovaya Street), Mokhova Street (from Vozdvizhenka to Tverskaya Street), Okhotny Ryad Street (from Mokhovaya Street to Teatralskaya Street) and sections of Theater passage (from Okhotny Ryad Street to Petrovka Street) will become pedestrian streets.

Because sometimes images speak more than words, here is a plan to summarize what has just been explained:

We don’t know if this is the case for you, but we look forward to this holiday season, the shows and entertainment of the city always amaze us as much. Every year the city of Moscow decides on a theme for the decorations and this year, in view of the decorations of the central Christmas tree of the GUM and more generally of the GUM’s decorations, and some Christmas trees that appear step by step in the streets, we can easily feel the one chosen this year:  « Journey to Christmas » ! Enough to start the new year under a good star?!
